Privacy

We use your email to send our newsletter and planner news. Last updated October 31, 2026.

What we keep

When you join, we keep your email address, the date and time, and which forms you used. The forms are the planner signup, the elective waitlist and the resources page signup.

Each form also asks for your state. This is optional. If you choose one, we keep it with your email. If you leave it blank, we keep no state.

We also keep a scrambled code made from your private removal link. It lets us find your record when you ask to remove it.

Emails are used to send the Rooted & Bold newsletter and news about the planner, and are never sold.

If you join the elective waitlist, we also use your email to tell you when the elective opens. That is a separate choice.

Emails we send

Every email we send will include an unsubscribe link and our postal address.

Each email's unsubscribe link stops that list.

Remove your email any time

After you join, the thank-you page shows a private removal link. Keep it. It is shown only once.

Open the link and confirm. Your email and its record are deleted at once. You do not need to write to anyone.

What we do not keep

We do not keep your network address or your browser details. We do not use accounts, cookies, analytics, ads or trackers.

To slow down automated abuse, we keep a scrambled code of your network address for at most about ten minutes. It is salted so it is hard to turn back into the address.

Our web host may keep standard technical logs of visits under its own rules. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.

Parents 18 and older only

Rooted & Bold is for parents and guardians who are 18 or older. If you are under 18, please do not use the forms.

We have no student accounts. We do not ask for a child's name, email or any other detail. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We will update this page before we change how your email is kept or used, so it always matches what the site really does.

We may share links on Pinterest. Pinterest has its own privacy rules, and we do not control them.

Questions

Questions? Most answers are on our pages. We write them to stand on their own.
